Welcome to Ladoo ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience on our mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains in detail how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our App. Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the App.

We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason with/without notice. We will alert you about any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date of this Privacy Policy. You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates.

2. Collection of Your Information

We collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or device.

A. Personal Data

We collect personally identifiable information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register with the App. The legal basis for this collection is your consent and the necessity to provide our services. This includes:

• Google Account Data: When you sign in using Google, we collect your Name, Email Address, and Profile Picture URL. We use this for authentication, account management, and preventing duplicate accounts, to serve relevant advertisements, and others.
• User Identifiers: A unique User ID (UID) assigned by Firebase Authentication to track your daily usage limits and usage history.

B. Health and Fitness Data

• Food Imagery: To provide calorie counting services, you upload photos of food. These images are processed to extract nutritional information (Calories, Protein, Carbs, Fats) and are stored in the cloud to provide you with a history log.
• Usage Logs: We track how often you scan items to enforce daily limits (e.g., 5 scans/day).
• Room Database: We use a local database on your device (Android Room) to store a cached copy of your food history, settings, and preferences. This allows the App to function faster and display your history even when you are offline. This specific data resides on your device.

C. Derivative Data (Usage & Device Info)

Information our servers automatically collect when you access the App, such as:

• Device Information: Your mobile device ID (Advertising ID), model, manufacturer, and operating system version.
• App Interaction: Actions taken within the app, error logs, crash reports, and performance diagnostics.
• IP Address: Used for broad geographic location (country level) to serve relevant advertisements.

D. Permissions We Request

The App requires specific permissions to function:

• Camera Permission: Strictly used to capture images of food for analysis. We do not record video or access the camera in the background.
• Internet Permission: Required to send image data to AI servers and fetch nutritional results.

3. How We Use Your Information

Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we use information collected via the App to:

1. Provide Core Functionality: Analyze food images to provide calorie and macronutrient estimates.
2. Account Management: Create and manage your account via Google Sign-In.
3. Enforce Limits: Track your daily scan usage via Cloud Firestore to enforce the free tier limit (e.g., 5 scans/day).
4. Monetization: Deliver targeted banner, native, and rewarded video advertisements and others.
5. Improvement: Analyze crash logs and usage patterns to improve App stability and AI accuracy.
6. Security: Monitor for fraudulent activity, such as the creation of fake accounts to bypass usage limits.

4. Disclosure of Your Information

We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations. Your information may be disclosed as follows:

A. Third-Party AI Processors

This is critical to the App's function. Your food images are transmitted to third-party providers for analysis.

B. Third-Party Service Providers

• Google Firebase: We use Firebase Authentication, Firestore Database, and Crashlytics. Data is stored on Google Cloud servers (typically in US or Asia-Pacific regions).
• Cloudinary: We use Cloudinary to store and host the food images you scan. This allows us to display your food history images inside the App. By using the App, you acknowledge that your uploaded food images are stored on Cloudinary's servers.
• Google AdMob: We share device identifiers (Advertising ID) with Google AdMob to serve personalized ads.

C. Legal Requirements

If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others, etc, we may share your information as permitted or required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation.

5. Third-Party Advertisements

We use Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may use cookies and web beacons to collect information about your activities on this and other apps to provide you with targeted advertising based on your interests.

• Rewarded Ads: If you choose to watch a video to earn extra scans, AdMob tracks the completion of the video to verify the reward.

6. Security of Your Information

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information.

• Encryption: Data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted via SSL/TLS (HTTPS).
• Authentication: We rely on Google's secure OAuth2 authentication protocol. We do not store passwords.

While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our best efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.

7. Policy for Children

We do not knowingly solicit information from or market to children under the age of 13. If you become aware of any data we have collected from children under age 13, please contact us using the contact information provided below.

8. Data Retention / Deletion

We retain your personal information (Name, Email, Usage Count) and uploaded content as long as your account is active with some exceptions in certain cases.

• Deletion: You may request the deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting us. Upon request, we will delete your record from Firebase Authentication and Firestore.

TERMS OF SERVICE (ToS)

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity ("you") and Bharat Publications ("we," "us" or "our"), concerning your access to and use of the Ladoo mobile application (the "App"). By accessing the App, you agree that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all of these Terms of Service. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ALL OF THESE TERMS OF SERVICE, THEN YOU ARE EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED FROM USING THE APP AND YOU MUST DISCONTINUE USE IMMEDIATELY.

2. Medical Disclaimer

Ladoo is not a medical device. The nutritional information, calorie counts, and macronutrient data provided by the App are estimates generated by Artificial Intelligence.

• Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, The system can hallucinate or misinterpret images (e.g., confusing a 5L oil bottle for a small jar).
• Not Advice: The content is for informational and educational purposes only. It is NOT a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
• Risk: Always seek the advice of your physician or qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition or dietary changes. Never disregard professional medical advice.

3. User Accounts and Security

To use Ladoo, you must sign in using a Google Account.

• Accuracy: You agree that the information provided by your Google Account is accurate.
• Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• Ban/Termination: We reserve the right to remove, reclaim, or ban users who violate these terms, including users who use "temp mail" services or automated bots to bypass account limits.

4. Usage Limits and "Freemium" Model

Ladoo operates on a limited-usage model to cover the high costs.

• Daily Limit: Free users are strictly limited to a specific number of scans per day (e.g., 5 scans).
• Reset: This limit resets automatically at midnight local server time.
• Calculation: Every successful analysis (whether food or non-food items) counts as 1 scan. Network errors on our end do not count.
• Circumvention: Any attempt to circumvent these limits (e.g., clearing app data, reinstalling, using multiple accounts) is a violation of these Terms and may result in a permanent ban.

5. Rewarded Ads

Users who exhaust their daily limit may have the option to watch a video advertisement to earn additional scans.

• Availability: Availability of ads is not guaranteed and depends on third-party ad networks (AdMob) and your region.
• Completion: Rewards are only granted upon the full completion of the advertisement as reported by the ad provider. We are not liable if the ad network fails to report completion.

6. Prohibited Activities

You may not access or use the App for any purpose other than that for which we make the App available. Prohibited activities include:

1. System Abuse: Excessive querying of the API, attempting to crash the server, or reverse-engineering the App code.
2. Scraping: Using automated scripts to extract data or content from the App.
3. Harassment: Using the App to harass, abuse, or harm another person.
4. Fraud: Using false information to create accounts.
5. Others: Any other reasons

7. Intellectual Property Rights

Unless otherwise indicated, the App is our proprietary property and all source code, databases, functionality, software, website designs, audio, video, text, photographs, and graphics on the App (collectively, the "Content") and the trademarks, service marks, and logos contained therein (the "Marks") are owned or controlled by us or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and trademark laws.

8. Third-Party Websites and Content

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services and advertisements (AdMob). We are not responsible for the content or accuracy of any third-party websites linked to the App.

9. Limitation of Liability

In no event will we or our directors, employees, or agents be liable to you or any third party for any direct, indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special, or punitive damages, including lost profit, lost data, or other damages arising from your use of the app, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Specifically regarding AI: we do not guarantee the accuracy of the calorie counts or food recognition. You rely on the app’s data at your own sole risk

10. Modifications and Interruptions

We reserve the right to change, modify, or remove the contents of the App at any time or for any reason at our sole discretion without notice. We also cannot guarantee the App will be available at all times. We may experience hardware, software, or other problems or need to perform maintenance related to the App, resulting in interruptions, delays, or errors.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and defined following the laws of India. You irrevocably consent that the courts of Sirsa shall have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any dispute which may arise in connection with these terms.
